Customer Feed Back on the Pole Mounts and FFS
Best explanation I've heard is side scan gets you to the neighborhood, mega 360 gets you to the street, forward facing gets you to the door. I've had FFS for a couple of years and love it, picked up a mega 360 towards the end of last year and am still trying to determine how much use it will be for my type of fishing. I personally would choose any type of ffs over 360. As to LiveScope VS Active Target Vs MegaLive then thats up to a few different factors. I have MegaLive, because everything else I have is Humminbird and it is all networked together. Livescope seems to be the consensus best if you're simply talking a stand alone ffs, I would agree to an extent. FFS is relatively new technology and everyone is improving rapidly, humminbirds last update signficantly improved their live imaging but most will still say livescope. My buddy has active target one and I was impressed by that as well. No matter which one, there will be a learning curve and it is not a set it and forget it type of technology. As for the ulterra, look into the mounts from John Thomason at Swackem Outdoors/Dub L Seat. He has one that will allow you to put an independent pole on your ulterra and adds virtually no resistence to the trolling motor. I have his Live pole mouont and mega 360 mouont on my terrova and couldn;t be happier.
